So you have decided to have your wedding at the beach and you’re coming back to The Celebration Hall for your reception. Beach weddings are a wonderful way to celebrate your special day. Here are a few simple ideas for your beach wedding.
Inexpensive silk flowers can be taken apart and the greenery removed for stringing to use for decorating the backs of chairs, altars or aisles. Use a hot glue gun to connect overlapping petals. The result is similar to a Hawaiian lei and will give a tropical air to your decor.
Aisles can be decorated with palm branches or even tiki torches.
The bridal bouquet can be enhanced with seashells among the flowers. Use silk ribbon to accentuate. What a beautiful addition to your beach wedding.
Scallop shells make awesome seating card holders. Seating assignments can be numbers hidden under the shells. Shells can even be used to hold rings! The possibilities for using shells in your beach wedding is wide open.
Children’s sand pails can be painted in pastels, stripes, etc., and used in centerpieces. Fill with beautiful flowers, or, use small buckets to hold candies for wedding favors. Paint the sand pails to match your wedding colors.
Plan for the Beach Weather
Beach weddings can be hot, so consider having your wedding later in the evening close to sunset or earlier in the morning hours to avoid hot sun. A great way to keep guests comfortable, have a couple of large metal tubs of ice full of cold bottles of water.
The Celebration Hall is happy to help you plan your special day whether at the beach or here as your backup plan in the event of rain.
