‘Tis The Season For Weddings at The Hall

Spring and Summer is a peak time for Weddings and Receptions here at The Celebration Hall in beautiful Santa Rosa Beach. Is it any wonder? The sun is usually shining bright and the days are warm with tropical breezes flowing through the palm trees. At night the palm trees are lit with crystal bulbs making for an elegant atmosphere for dancing and celebrating under the tents. Our lawn is lusciously landscaped so that the grass is perfect for an outdoor event.

The Celebration Hall welcomes you to our beautiful venue where many spectacular events are held, not just Weddings and Receptions.

Many of the events that are held here have themes. Consider a theme party for your next corporate event. Imagine your guests dressed in Western apparel complete with cowboy hats and bandanas. The grounds are decorated with haystacks, barrels and buckets full of peanuts. Throughout the grounds the smell of freshly barbecued meat and chicken tickles your nostrils. Ice cold beer, sweet tea and lemonade are being served in mason jars.

Guests will be square dancing complete with fiddle players and a square dance caller that tells you when to “do si do.” While you won’t see horses galloping through the party you might spot a saddle and lasso for decoration. You might even have a riding bull contest. Complete the evening with awards and recognition for service followed by fresh homemade ice cream.

While these events require planning and effort they can be quite enjoyable and successful with the help of the Celebration Hall.

Sentimental Keepsakes

Every part of your Wedding has special meaning. From the beautiful flower bouquets adorned with Baby’s Breath to the centerpieces you have handmade. There are sentimental keepsakes that you can find a precious way to preserve. Start with your Wedding Dress.

Layers of beautiful satin and lace, trimmed with delicate features all over. You could store the dress and save for someone else to wear. Or, you could have the dress cut down and have a seamstress make Angel Dresses out of. These precious little baby girl dresses, toddler dresses or other will be a lovely way to preserve your dress and share with others. Give as gifts for special occasions such as Christenings, Baptisms, holiday wear or otherwise.

Wedding flowers can be preserved by drying in silica gel, pressing in between pages of your Bible, or other means. They can then be reused in special floral arrangements, jewelry, centerpieces or other great ideas. You may have leftover candies or other specialty treats. You can turn these into little gift trinkets for parties, take home souvenirs or other memorabilia. You can put candies in gift boxes, bags or wrapping.

Leftover food? How about donating the leftover food to a homeless shelter? You will not only enjoy sharing you will feed hungry people. There is great satisfaction in giving and sharing.

The Celebration Hall is the perfect spot for your Wedding and Reception or other event!

Elegant Touches for Your Wedding Banquet Table

The big day is approaching fast and the planning is soon going to be over! Time to get ready for the best day of your life. The Celebration Hall is ready, willing, and able to help you with the details, caterers, bartenders, etc., for your event. There are so many elegant touches you can add to your wedding. Share this with your caterer for something very tasty and elegant.

Champagne Soaked Strawberries

Two very popular items combined make for a double treat that is not only attractive but tasty and unique. These lovely bites can be decorated to match your wedding color theme as well as provide a little “punch” from the champagne. They look beautiful before and after the completion of the decorating. For one jar you will need: 1 bottle of champagne 1 pkg. strawberries *washed and patted dry 1 canning jar 1 bag of white chocolate melting chips Sugar sprinkles (color to match your wedding colors) Fill the canning jar with strawberries and champagne. Allow to soak overnight at least but no more than 2 -3 days. *Note, for the purpose of decoration only a couple of jars of the strawberries in champagne have a very unique appearance and will add to your decorating.

Dipped Strawberries

Start by draining the champagne off of the strawberries, pat dry with a towel. Melt chocolate in microwave or small pan. Dip strawberries in the white chocolate for one layer, let the chocolate set for about 45 seconds or so and then dip in the sugar sprinkles (in your choice of color). These are so beautiful and tasty but do not hold up for a long period of time so do not make ahead of time more than just a couple of days. Special Moments and Wedding Music

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. There are so many decisions to make like choosing to have your wedding at The Celebration Hall! This will be one of the best decisions you will ever make. But there are many more decisions including choosing your music!

There will be the traditional choices such as the Wedding March, the classical piece played when the bride comes down the aisle, before the wedding and after. Another popular choice is Pachabel’s Canon, Here Comes the Bride (processional), and there are non traditional choices as well. How about hiring someone to play the harp at your wedding? The harp has a distinctive sound which makes any occasion more special. The ukelele is another instrument you might consider hiring someone to play.

There are some very unique sounds from both of these instruments that can make your wedding music even more special. Bagpipes can add a special flair to your wedding day. Bagpipes music is something you might consider particularly if either of the bride or groom is Scottish or Irish. Celtic music is another great choice.

We Will Help You With Your Many Decisions

After the wedding there will be even more special musical choices to make. Often there is the father and daughter dance that gives the father of the bride a special dance with his daughter. This is a traditional dance presenting a good way to officially celebrate the daughter leaving home. A song such as “Butterfly Kisses” makes for a special dance.
