Making the Big Decision For Your Wedding Cake?

You will need to answer many questions, how many people do you want to serve? Do you want to serve a separate cake from the specially designed Wedding Cake? How much can you spend on a wedding cake? It may be easy for you to think what your favorite cake flavor is but when you are deciding what will be the best one for a crowd, that’s a little harder to do. What flavor? What colors should you use? Should you stick with your wedding colors or opt for a theme or traditional choice?

There are Many Popular Choices

Everything about the wedding seems to center around the Bride.

So What’s a Groom to Do? Poor fellas, seems all the groom has to do is show up and say I do and he’s done, right? Not so, there is actually a lot for the groom to do to prepare for the big day. For both the bride and groom it is essential to know what the budget for the wedding will be.

This is one topic that needs the involvement and input from both of you.

This is big stuff. During this budgeting process the bride and the groom need to agree on how many and whom to invite to the wedding. Once the engagement is set, the groom purchases the engagement ring and usually makes the choice of wedding rings for the couple, this is an individual choice, however. Typically, the groom is responsible for obtaining the marriage license requirements and getting everything ready for making the marriage official. The groom picks his best man and groomsmen.

The tuxedos or suits are usually selected at this point as well as being fitted, etc. The family of the groom is also usually responsible for a rehearsal dinner if that is determined after the rehearsal. The full cost is typically paid by the family of the groom. The groom should also be arranging transportation to and from the wedding, renting limousines, etc., if that is the choice method. The Celebration Hall is the perfect venue for your wedding and or reception.

Do you remember when the only phone you had was the one at home and if someone called you and you weren’t there you missed the call?

There was no texting and driving because there were no cell phones, no internet, no social media sites. Times have certainly changed for the better in many ways.

There are sometimes though, when this technological advancement can be more of a nuisance than anything else.

One of those times is your wedding.
Can you imagine walking down the aisle in a room full of people and having a cell phone ring and God forbid, someone answer and say “hello.” If you are getting married and have the opportunity, be sure to tell your guests ahead of time how you feel about cell phones and social media at your wedding.

Can you imagine getting engaged and not having told everyone in your circle of family and friends about it yet and reading about it on FaceBook? To prevent this from happening make sure you tell everyone you want to know before posting on FaceBook about your engagement.

Changing your Facebook status is now an acceptable way to let people know your relationship status. Engaged is an option on Facebook now.

What about your wedding photos and pictures people are taking on their cell phones, what if the pictures show up on Facebook?

Consider having a web page for your wedding plans and address these subjects on your wedding page. These are only a few suggestions, there is much more to be said about this topic. Celebration Hall wants your special day to be free of annoying interruptions and aggravations.

Share this with your caterer for something very tasty and elegant.

Champagne Soaked Strawberries

Two very popular items combined make for a double treat that is not only attractive but tasty and unique. These lovely bites can be decorated to match your wedding color theme as well as provide a little “punch” from the champagne. They look beautiful before and after the completion of the decorating. For one jar you will need: 1 bottle of champagne 1 pkg. strawberries *washed and patted dry 1 canning jar 1 bag of white chocolate melting chips Sugar sprinkles (color to match your wedding colors) Fill the canning jar with strawberries and champagne. Allow to soak overnight at least but no more than 2 -3 days. *Note, for the purpose of decoration only a couple of jars of the strawberries in champagne have a very unique appearance and will add to your decorating.

Dipped Strawberries

Start by draining the champagne off of the strawberries, pat dry with a towel. Melt chocolate in microwave or small pan. Dip strawberries in the white chocolate for one layer, let the chocolate set for about 45 seconds or so and then dip in the sugar sprinkles (in your choice of color). These are so beautiful and tasty but do not hold up for a long period of time so do not make ahead of time more than just a couple of days.
